C++
Write a small numeric program in C++. zlow lowers it to LLVM text — no CMake, no Make, no clang++ on the compile path. If we don’t support something yet, you get a clear error instead of a guess.
Project setup
Put a zlow.json in the project root. It only needs the language and the entry file:
{ "language": "cpp", "entry": "main.cpp" }You can add languageVersion if you want to pin it. This release acceptsc++17 or an omitted key, checked against Homebrew Clang 22.1.8. Anything else is rejected. C++ is not in zlow versions: the version key is c++17, not a dotted compiler pin.
native
Compile from the project file, or emit LLVM text.
zlow native . # zlow.json in the current dir
zlow native main.cpp --emit-llvm out.llversions
C++ is the C++17 subset this release, checked against pinned Homebrew Clang 22.1.8 (clang++ -std=c++17 -O2). The comparison isjust compare-clang and node tools/bench-cpp-vs-clang.mjs. Neither is a CI gate. zlow versions does not list C++.
