Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the zlow website at zlow.site, related documentation, and the zlow software and packages we publish (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Who we are
zlow is an open-source project. References to “we,” “us,” or “zlow” mean the zlow maintainers and contributors as identified in the public repository.
The software license
The zlow software itself is licensed separately under the MIT License. Nothing in these Terms replaces or narrows that license for the source code and packages distributed under it. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the MIT License regarding your rights to the software, the MIT License controls for the software.
Acceptable use
You may use the website and documentation for their intended purpose: learning about zlow, installing and running it, and building with it.
You agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the website, related infrastructure, or other users’ systems
- Scrape or harvest the site in a way that harms availability or violates applicable law
- Misrepresent affiliation with zlow or use our marks in a way that suggests endorsement without permission
- Use the Service for unlawful activity
Website content
Site content (docs, marketing copy, benchmarks, and branding) is provided for informational purposes. Benchmarks and performance claims reflect measurements described on the site and may change as the software and test environments change. We may update, correct, or remove site content at any time.
Third-party services
The site may link to third-party services (for example GitHub, package registries, or search tooling). Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that results from using zlow will meet your requirements.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the zlow maintainers and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) zero euros if you paid nothing — which is the usual case for open-source use of zlow.
Indemnity
If your use of the Service causes a third-party claim against us, you agree to defend and indemnify the zlow maintainers and contributors against that claim to the extent permitted by law, except where the claim arises solely from our willful misconduct.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the bottom of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes may also be noted in the project repository or site announcements.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction require otherwise. Courts in France have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, subject to those mandatory protections.
Contact
Questions about these Terms: open an issue in the zlow repository, or contact the maintainers through the channels listed there.
